(ĐN)– Blue ear pig disease has been detected in hamlets of 3 and 6 in Vinh Cuu district’s Vinh Tan commune, Dong Nai province.

The provincial Department of Animal Health has worked with localities to sterilise and cull 164 infected pigs.

The province has directed localities to strictly implement measures to stamp out and prevent the spread of the disease.

Dong Nai now has about 1.2 million head of pigs, of which, 50 per cent are raised on a small scale.
