Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang inspected public service operations at the Dong Nai Public Administrative Service Center on September 15 to assess the reception and resolution of administrative procedures and the quality of services provided to citizens and businesses.

Infrastructure supporting the processing of administrative procedures in Dong Nai is receiving greater investment, with facilities and equipment being provided in a relatively comprehensive manner to better meet the needs of residents.

Not all innovation begins with sweeping initiatives. Many positive changes in education grow out of small but meaningful actions, such as a teacher taking the time to listen to students or a Party committee proactively visiting a school to understand its situation, offer guidance, and help resolve difficulties.

Long Thanh International Airport is entering the stage of preparations for commercial operations, creating strong momentum for Dong Nai’s economic development in the new phase. This major project is expected not only to support aviation operations but also to drive the development of aviation-related industries in Dong Nai.

Value-added tax (VAT) policies for ordinary semi-processed timber have been clarified since 2026. However, in actual production and business operations, the timber industry continues to face the question, "Is this product still ordinary semi-processed timber, or has it become another processed wood product?"

Following the merger, Dong Nai has expanded its tourism development space, creating more opportunities for ecotourism, resort, cultural and spiritual tourism, community-based tourism and other forms of tourism.

On September 13, Bien Hoa ward People's Committee held the 2026 Science and Technology Creativity Contest and Experience Festival for young people and children, attracting nearly 50 products and models created by primary, secondary and high school students in the area.

On September 12, at Nghia Trung Secondary School in Nghia Trung Commune, the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the City Vietnam Youth Federation, the City Youth and Children’s Culture House, the Traffic Police Division under the City Public Security Department, Porsche Club Vietnam, and Nghia Trung Commune co-hosted the 2026 "Full Moon Festival Night" program themed "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children - Lighting Up Dreams."

On September 11, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired a working session with relevant departments and agencies on preparations for Dong Nai’s first Culture Week 2026, themed "Vietnamese Soul – Dong Nai Colors – Rising with the Nation."

The Dong Nai Chefs Association has recently introduced 106 dishes made from distinctive local ingredients. The event, held at Buu Long Tourist Area in Tran Bien Ward, attracted large numbers of residents and visitors who came to explore and sample the dishes. In addition to the food, a display featuring the 106 dishes drew attention for its elaborate fruit and vegetable carving.

The Command Headquarters for the Liberation Army of South Vietnam relic (referred to as Ta Thiet Base) in Loc Thanh Commune is a "red address" associated with important milestones of the Southern revolution and a place that preserves the historical and cultural values of the Dong Nai region.

On September 15, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a seminar to improve skills in receiving applications, returning results, and processing administrative procedures related to science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

On September 14, specialized units under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST) held a meeting. They discussed and reviewed the contents of the cooperation program between the MoST and Dong Nai City on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to support the city’s socio-economic development during the 2026–2030 period.

Dong Nai is prioritizing administrative reform in tandem with local digital transformation efforts. The city is focusing on accelerating the digitization of records and archival documents, completing digital infrastructure, and strengthening data connectivity and sharing among government agencies.

From tiny, hard-to-detect lesions to complex diseases inside the body, X-rays, CT scans, mammography, bone density measurements and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) are becoming the “magic eyes” of modern medicine.

Dong Nai is entering a new stage of development with an expanded urban area and a population of nearly 5 million. Therefore, ensuring food safety cannot stop at inspecting and penalizing individual violators; it must be integrated into the broader framework of urban planning, infrastructure and governance.

On September 13, in Long Khanh Ward, Dong Nai City, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, in coordination with the Dong Nai Association for the Support of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Poor Patients and the Xuan Loc Bishop’s Office, organized a free healthcare program providing medical examinations, treatment, dental care and medicines to 2,700 residents.
