(ĐN) - According to Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, in the first four month of 2022, domestic firms exported over US$1.7 billion worth of footwear products, a rise of 11.5 percent over the previous year, making up nearly 20 percent of the province's total exports.

In the period, local footwear was exported to more than 100 markets, including the US, EU, Belgium, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea.

Of the markets, footwear exports to the US registered a yearly growth rate of 26 percent to US$747 million. The US market alone made up nearly half of the province's total footwear exports in Jan-April.

Particularly, footwear exports to the US totaled about US$747 million, nearly half of local footwear export value.

Dong Nai has so far become one of biggest production hubs for Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Puma.

Currently, many local firms have received enough orders for the whole second quarter of 2022, which is a good condition for them to speed up production and regain growth pace after a long period of stagnation caused by COVID-19.
