Dong Nai’s runner wins first prize at International Marathon Competition

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s runner Le Van Tuan won the first prize in the half marathon category with a time of one hour 16 minutes at the 2013 International Marathon Competition held in Da Nang city on September 1.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s runner Le Van Tuan won the first prize in the half marathon category with a time of one hour 16 minutes at the 2013 International Marathon Competition held in Da Nang city on September 1.

The first international marathon competition in Vietnam attracted the participation of 3,300 runners including 385 international runners from 25 countries and territories around the world. Among them, five came from Dong Nai.

They took part in the full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km), and a 5 km fun run.

Pham Van Long from Gia Lai province came in first in the full marathon run in two hours 56 minutes and 31 seconds

Pham Thi Binh, from the national team, won the women's title with a time in 1hour 24minutes 15seconds.

After its first organising, Vietnam officially becomes member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races.
