(ĐN)- Speaking at the meeting on Oct, Deputy Chairman Vo Van Chanh of the provincial People's Committee said that all polluting companies must be moved out of urban and residential areas by year-end, and that no deadline extensions would be granted.

"They can move to industrial parks, or change their business into clean production or just stop operation. There will be no more delays or concessions for such enterprises," he added.

In 2015, eleven establishments have been certified as getting out of the serious environmental pollution list, reported Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

So far, 143 out of 157 pollution-causing establishments across the province have completed thorough pollution treatment measures; the remaining ones have basically completed plans and are in the process of implementation.

Since the beginning of the year, Dong Nai Environmental Protection Fund has received some VND8.4 bil for its registered capital supplement, bringing its total capital of approximately VND116 billion. Accordingly, the Fund provided priority loans to help local establishments and farms building wastewater and exhaust gas treatment systems and environmental service cooperatives buying specialized rubbish carriers.

127 environmental pollution cases with fines of VND5.6 billion were recorded in the first eleven months of the year.

These polluters have been examined and forced to improve their environmental protection systems.
